AGTA Launches Online Industry Guide

September 4, 2008 - Dallas, TX: The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) announced the launch of an online sourcing guide for the gemstone and jewelry industry. AGTA developed the site in conjunction with MultiView Inc., a leading publisher of Online Supplier Directories (OLSD) for national associations.

The Gem Industry Guide will help AGTA provide their members and other industry professionals, with a unique online search tool that will give them quick access to an extensive directory of industry-specific products and services. The directory will be accessible through a prominent link located on the AGTA website:

"We are always looking for opportunities to offer more exposure for the Association and its members," said Douglas K. Hucker, AGTA CEO. "This guide is a proven solution for web savvy companies looking for gemstone and jewelry related products."

Within the Gem Industry Guide, online searchers will be able to easily locate products and services unique to the industry without the clutter of a general Internet search engine. Users will have the option of performing keyword-driven searches, or a category-specific search. Both methods will produce the most industry relevant results on the web.

The guide will also include Request For Information (RFI) functionality. This feature allows users to contact participating suppliers with a click of their mouse. With a downloadable desktop search application available, industry professionals will also have the ability to search for items directly from a small search window on their desktops – making the search process as convenient and time-efficient as possible.

The AGTA is an Association of natural colored gemstone and cultured pearl industry professionals, dedicated to promoting the natural colored gemstone trade. The Association pursues this mission through the combined use of educational programs, industry events and publicity to both the trade and consumer. We are The Authority in Color.
